Our Story

Fixing Tech Since 1996

Computer Doctor of Maine started in 1996 when owner Kevin Bellerose recognized that small businesses needed reliable, honest tech support without the corporate runaround. What began as business IT support grew into something bigger – a commitment to helping everyone in the Bangor community keep their technology running smoothly.

In 2008, we opened our retail location to better serve residential customers alongside our business clients. Today, we’re a dedicated team of specialists who genuinely care about fixing things right the first time. We’re not a big box store trying to sell you a new device when your current one can be repaired. We’re local, independent, and we actually fix things.

After nearly 30 years and countless repairs, we’ve built our reputation on honesty, expertise, and treating customers the way we’d want to be treated ourselves. That’s the advantage of a family-owned business – we live here, shop here, and our reputation matters to us.

Component-level repair requires specialized skills and equipment that most shops simply don't have. Our micro-soldering specialist can repair liquid-damaged logic boards, broken charging ports, and failed components that others declare "unrepairable." It's precision work, and we're one of the few shops in the region with this capability.

Kevin founded Computer Doctor in 1996 and opened our retail location in 2008. As a certified data recovery specialist, he handles our most complex recovery cases using professional-grade equipment. When your irreplaceable files are at stake, Kevin's the one you want on the job.

Sandi is the friendly face you'll often see on Saturdays and during the summer months. As co-owner, she helps run the front desk and makes sure every customer feels welcome and taken care of. She may not speak fluent tech, but she definitely speaks fluent people – and that matters just as much.

Anthony runs our front desk and intake process, making sure every customer gets checked in properly and their issues are clearly documented. He's the first person you'll meet when you walk in, and he keeps everything running smoothly.

Shaun is our go-to hardware specialist and the team's micro-soldering expert. He handles component-level repairs that most shops can't touch – liquid damage recovery, logic board repairs, and delicate port replacements. If it seems impossible, Shaun's probably fixed it before.
